We Were Dancing on a Volcano

The Glade Press is pleased to announce forthcoming publication of We Were Dancing on a Volcano: Bloodlines and Fault Lines of a Star-Crossed Atlanta Family, 1849-1989, a historical biography of an intriguing clan that lived in interesting times. By Joseph Gatins.

The book is a non-fiction documentary spanning five generations -- from the first Irish immigrant to land in Atlanta to the current generation of family, a true mélange of Irish, French, Hispanic and, finally, American, bloodlines. The author details the lessons learned in love and war and in particular one grandmother's valiant work with the French Resistance during World War II and her untiring efforts to liberate her son from POW punishment camps in Nazi Germany.
